Founded in 1982, Stone Island is synonymous with extreme research in the field of fibres and textiles, applied to innovative design. The Italian menswear brand has developed a unique ability to work on the finished garment, thanks to continuous experimentation with dyes and treatments.

Stone Island presents the next chapter of its “COMMUNITY AS A FORM OF RESEARCH” project with its SPRING-SUMMER 2026 collection. This initiative continues to showcase a diverse group of individuals, embodying the brand’s commitment to exploration and innovation. This season’s campaign features personalities such as musicians Joe James and Mike Skinner, former footballer Paolo Maldini, mixed martial artist Chito Vera, artist and designer Garance Vallée, and speaker designer Shivas. As the season progresses, Serpentine Galleries artistic director Hans Ulrich Obrist, who has guided the project’s personal questions since its inception, also joins the cast. Other notable figures, such as actor Cha Seung-won, Latin Grammy Award-winning artist and songwriter Feid, artist, producer and label founder A.G. Cook, actor Charlie Hunnam and DJ YUVIE, also enrich this narrative.

The portraits, captured by photographer David Sims and styled by Max Pearmain, under the creative direction of Ferdinando Verderi, are staged in front of Stone Island’s signature white background, placing the participants and the garments at the centre of attention. Each image is accompanied by questions formulated by Hans Ulrich Obrist.
