Marie-Louise Carven, also known as Madame Carven, founded her couture house in 1945 at 6 Rond-Point des Champs-Élysées in Paris. Carven was one of the most pioneering fashion houses of its time, playing a key role in democratizing the fashion industry by leading the move from haute couture to ready to wear. In 2023, British-born designer, Louise Trotter was appointed Creative Director of the house. Since then, she has been shaping Carven’s future, adding new chapters to the history of the house.
