Hoso Basque: a new take on cheesecake

Information

  • 9, Rue de la Monnaie, 75001 Paris
  • Open Monday to Sunday from 10:00 at 20:00

From San Sebastián to Paris, via Japan, the gourmet restaurant Hoso Basque is setting up shop at Samaritaine from 2 July.

Cheesecake and matcha lovers, this new restaurant in the heart of Samaritaine is made for you!

Hoso Basque was born out of a passion for cheesecake and a desire to find the most balanced recipe for a perfect result.

To achieve this, Vivi, the founder, first travelled to San Sebastián in Spain, where she fell in love with the authentic Basque cheesecake and its generous portions.

She then travelled to Japan, where she learnt the art of creating a delicate, creamy texture from master pastry chefs renowned for their artisanal expertise, in order to develop her own vision of the cheesecake.

Back in Paris, she has teamed up with Hoso Basque to create recipes that embody the perfect fusion of the delicacy of Japanese cheesecake and the richness of the Basque version.

At Samaritaine, discover these gourmet treats in their classic form or in flavours such as Sesame, Matcha, Lavender, Pistachio and Speculoos. As for drinks, stay hydrated with Matcha-based recipes in a variety of flavours: Lychee, Passion fruit, Mango, Coconut, Blueberry, Pistachio, Strawberry, Rose, Oreo, and Pop Yuzu.

Available to enjoy all summer long!
